When this virus came about I considered going to a local computer company close to home and then thought better of it and decided to call you whom we trust completely. Another thing, I saw him handle an elderly customer at your office while I was there and thought he handled the situation so well. He was kind and didn’t use a lot of computer jargon that he didn’t understand and made him feel so at ease with things I was impressed.

"I have been using Nucleus as my ISP for my home since Spots was purchased by Nucleus. In addition I have used Nucleus as my business ISP since I started my laboratory in 2008.
I have never considered using another ISP primarily because of Nucleus’ rapid response technical service, the knowledge of its technical support staff and the speed of the connection.
Compared to other ISPs it is MHO that Nucleus is the best value going for these reasons.
Recently, I have especially been happy with the technical support that I have obtained from Shari. Not only does she seem to be very technically competent, but she is both courteous and an excellent communicator. Yesterday she helped me resolve an Outlook configuration issue that was preventing some of emails from reaching the intended recipient and also blocked my sent emails while I was staying in hotels. I am not sure if this is strictly in the domain of what an ISP is responsible for but Shari made the fix quick and easy.
The one thing that I can’t understand is why my repeated recommendations to my friends, colleagues and acquaintances have not netted one additional customer for Nucleus.
In this age of big box stores, endless offers of this rate for 6 months and a free (albeit low quality) camera or laptop, the populace, it seems, has lost or has never had the experience of consistent top quality service.
I am dedicated to supporting Nucleus for as long as I can and hope sincerely that it continues to be Calgary’s (and local area) premier “independent” ISP for as long as I will require internet service."

"I just appreciated how quickly a tech was sent out to fix the problem ( a few days). The reason I switched from Shaw to Nucleus was the poor customer service I experienced from Shaw. I realize that this service "piggy-backs" off Shaw, but it seems, at least by this impression, that dealing with Nucleus on the customer service side provided much faster service nonetheless. I had a similar problem with my last connection at my former residence, and Shaw was always trying to set up an appointment for weeks later. Very frustrating when your service is out. I have dealt with all the big cable and telephone companies, and a few independant ones but the first mile provider ususally makes it so hard to get setup and having anything fixed can be rough, but Nucleus has been the best: the people are genuinely concerned with helping you out for one thing.

Just a note of thanks to the people at Nucleus Internet. I ordered the service and Nucleus contact Shaw for the setup. The attitude of the Shaw installer was deplorable. It was clear I was an inconvenience to him & he seem miffed I hadn't chosen his company to do the setup. He left after telling me it was normal for a modem to take up to 30 minutes to connect. A day later I still had no internet.
I contacted Nucleus and the service was outstanding. Due to a huge workload (70 hours a week) i was unable to get the time to call. Nucleus called me asking if everything was working. I let them know what happened and they repeatedly called me to get an update on when I would be in to swap the modem (which was defective). I received calls from their tech support people and my account manager. When I finally got things working, I asked the account rep if she could start the billing date when everything became active. This...in spite of the fact that I could have had the problem fixed several weeks earlier had I had the time to swap out the modem.
To say I'm pleased is an understatement. The level of service I received from Nucleus is unmatched in ANY service business I've dealt with. You folks are just outstanding. You set the bar very high and then you surpass expectations. In this day and age, it's VERY nice to deal with a company that does it's best to minimize any problems you may experience. Hell, I'd pay MORE just to have this type of service.
I'm in the IT field and have dealt extensively with small business. If I'm ever back working in that realm (very likely) I will definitely recommend using Nucleus as an Internet provider.

I used to be a customer of Telus, but after waiting for over a day for tech support on one occasion, I switched in disgust. I have never regretted moving to Nucleus, and I don't hesitate to tell acquaintances about your service when I hear they are having difficulties with their ISP's."

We were having trouble (to say the least) with our computer, wireless signal and new router. Amazing how 'gummed up' a situation can become in the hands of novices! Yesterday (Sunday the 25th of April) we called Nucleus Tech Support because we were at the end of our rope. The next step, I thought, was to hang the computer and ourselves at the end of it and tie a BIG knot! Josh answered the phone late Sunday afternoon and with a calm voice walked us through the unknown and back to computer sanity within a matter of an hour or so.

"This is to acknowledge the outstanding service and support I received from Ryan in relation to internet radio streaming issues. I was experiencing loss of signal and numerous re-buffering while listening to online radio and called Edmonton technical support, who monitored my internet connection for a couple of days prior to sending Ryan out to my home to take a look at my telephone panel, router and modem.
Ryan checked the modem and router and found everything ok. He took a look at the telephone wiring in the power box and saw that it was in a real mess. Over a period of 2 hour and 20 minutes he rewired all telephone connections to a central box and then checked my home security before leaving.
I am happy to say that I no longer have any online or other internet issues since the rewiring. This kind of service is truly appreciated by me and I will certainly let others know of the outstanding service I have received. All of the technical support staff is to be commended for the competent, friendly and personable service which they gave to me.

"I have been a client of Nucleus Information Service 'Everything Internet' for at least five years now. I am from the generation of folks who are essentially self taught 'learn as you go' computer users - with only a couple of software training sessions along the way. I am just the sort of client that requires patience and understanding with respect to computer glitches revolving around my internet service and other technical aspects of computers and it is for this reason that I am contacting you now.
I wish to praise the customer service at Nucleus Information Service Inc. beginning with the front of house receptionist Terri and then the support technicians that I have dealt with often, I don't know where they found these young people, but I am always amazed with their skill, patience and politeness in dealing with computer issues that arise for me. A case in point is this past week in which technicians namely Josh, Jeff, Brad and Andrew removed a deeply embedded malicious 'root kit' virus from my system. It was quite a task; requiring strong knowledge and expertise in proceeding and managing to remove it without having to remove my files. I know several different scans had to be tried and special maneuvers performed to manage to get my computer working smoothly again. Honestly, it is just wonderful experiencing such good customer service. I simply feel this extraordinary customer service should go on record in today's fast paced and rather depersonalized world. Hats off to Nucleus Information Services of Calgary - They are the BEST!"

"I just wanted to send a quick note to mention the customer service I have received from the people at Nucleus. You have been a joy to deal with since my very first call and I thank you for that. You definitely made me feel a lot more comfortable transitioning from a large internet service provider to your company.
I am not sure if you are aware, but there were a few problems during the install at my house. The technician that was sent out showed the utmost of patience and professionalism when running from one issue to the next. He spent over two hours at my house trying to get the problem solved and kept his composure which kept me calm! If only ALL technical people could be like that!
My most recent dealings have been with Technical Support regarding the Telus lines. He gave me all the information that I needed, called me with updates when he said he would and actually came though on a working service date! Simply amazing!
I am very happy to report that when I logged on last night I was able to access the internet. All seems to be well and working excellently!"

"At this time I'd like to thank you and all those at Nucleus for being such a good, responsive ISP. When I've had issues, your tech support was there to get me going again. In some cases, even questions I had that were non-Nucleus, like modem, router, or software questions, your tech support handled them professionaly and didn't just "write me off". "For many years I have reluctantly used Telus for my ISP, only because I thought there was no alternative in my area. After yet another bought of the Telus incompetence and fairy tails about addressing a problem that was generated through arrogance on their behalf, I looked around for another ISP in my area (Raymond Alberta). I was delighted to find that Nucleus was available in my area. I had used Nucleus before when I was the IT manager of a large appliance store chain in Calgary, and knew what great service they had given me.
Without hesitation I called the office to find out if there were any Nucleus ports in Raymond. There were many ports available and they all offered the speed I was looking for. I ordered my service and with great delight then called Telus and canceled my ADSL service with them. I had been fighting with them for 3 months to restore the service I had been receiving and paying for for more than a year that suddenly Telus told me I was not and that there were no ports in Raymond to provide such a service.
Nucleus did all the work moving me from the incompetence and arrogance of Telus to a service that is now faster and has all the DSL IP stuff that Telus was suppressing preventing my router from working to its full capability. Thank you Nucleus, I no longer have to deal with Telus."

"I have switched to Nucleus simply on the basis of the single satisfied customer who recommended them, and who put me in touch directly with Phil Pacl's cell number. This person is on a short list of three Linux gurus in the local group, who work equally with WinTel, Apple and Linux as the business needs, which they service, mandate.
At every stage of my transition from Uniserve to Nucleus, and more recently in the switch from Telus to Shaw Digital Phone, the Nucleus agents have been willing to 'bend over backwards', go far out of their way, performed as if nothing I was concerned or interested in was 'outside their scope'. And they distinguished themselves in being aware of potential pitfalls that only they could me advise of, and cooperated with the Port people at both Shaw and Telus to effect another seamless transition.
It becomes obvious that the smaller/local/independent ISP's tend to encourage rather that discourage their agents' 'going the extra mile', maintaining a personal connection with and zealous concern for their clients, in stark contrast to the monopoly providers, who 'ditch their own clients' by outsourcing them to wannabe professional support contractors such as Convergys, and then act as if the turnover from dissatisfied customers leaving is normal, and no problem because the advertising works and the suckers are 'lining up and signing up' so who cares.
Typical in these environments is the coaching that 'There IS no Reality....only the Perception'.
I prefer this reality....the small/local/independent ISP....NUCLEUS!"
