What you need to know about the transition to Primus
Primus Telecommunications Canada, through an agreement with Rogers Communications, will be taking over all Roger's Home Phone customers in Alberta and British Columbia this spring. This transition will only affect Nucleus customer's who have DSL Internet tied to their current Roger's landline phone line.
In an attempt to concentrate on developing new technologies for the delivery of their digital Home Phone service, Rogers has decided to abandon all traditional home phone services provided over the conventional copper telephone infrastructure. Primus has already begun to transition existing Rogers' customers and will continue to do so throughout spring 2011.
While Rogers insists this change will not affect your telephone service it can have an adverse affect on your High Speed DSL Internet connection provided through Nucleus.
If you are currently a Rogers Home Phone customer yet to transition over to Primus; or if your phone line has already been transferred to Primus, please be sure to contact a member of the Nucleus Customer Care team at 403-209-0000 (Calgary), 780-413-1700 (Edmonton) or toll free at 1-866-NUCLEUS (682-5387).
